Summer is well under way!

Wow! This summer is going to be busy. This past weekend was definitely a sign of what the summer is going to be like. Thursday night, we took off for Michigan for a partial weekend with Derek's parents. Hrvoje, Jill and Ema Budimir were speaking at Derek's dad's church, so we went up to stay the weekend with them. (Hroje and Derek were roommates in college. The Budimir's are raising support to go back to Croatia as career missionaries.)We had a relaxing Friday and Saturday with Derek's parents and the Budimir's. (Derek will probably post pictures later... after his two weeks of camp.)

We headed back to IN late Saturday night because Pastor Drew was going to be the only pastor at church on Sunday. We got back to the house about 1am. Sunday after church we headed to my grandparent's house for some family time.

Derek had a final camp meeting Sunday night at the campgrounds, so more good free food for the two of us. LOL. During the meeing, the storms decided to come in. We didn't know exactly what was coming, just that it could be winds up to 75 mph and hail - thanks to Gail for the phone call. We headed to the caretakers' basement and waited out the storm. The evening ended uneventfully. I was happy! For those that don't know I HATE storms. I think it comes from growing up in the country and seeing everything that's coming your way for miles around.

Anyway, Derek took 6 students to Jr. High Camp yesterday. They have a great week planned. Last night I decided to have a "Spontaneous Girls Night" tonight. We're doing dinner and a movie. It will help to break up my lonely week without Derek. I'm sad that he missed last night. Maddie was jumping all over the place.

Just a short note about my seasonal obsession: Bachorlette. I know, I know... but ever since college I've been hooked. I just wanted to say that my top 3 are now in the final 4. Do I know how to pick them or what?!?! I guess I do, because I have the best husband in the world! He's amazing! And I miss him terribly when he's gone.

That's all for now. I'll probably post next week too, while Derek is at camp. Have a great week! Let us know what is going on in your lives.
