I didn't realize that it had been since Annabelle was born that we had posted anything. I have come to town a couple times since then, but I guess I kept forgetting to post pictures. I dropped Madelyn off at school this morning, and headed into town. We've found this fun coffe shop/ restaurant downtown with free wi-fi. Good, but a little pricey, food and amazing hot chocolate. Fun atmosphere. Anyways...
Since I've posted last, Adriauna has turned 3 and Brooklynn has turned 2. We celebrated their birthdays here and there when we could gather with family. It's been a little hard, for me, during birthdays and the holidays being farther away from family. But I just keep reminding myself... "At least it's only 5 hours, and not a 5 day drive". And we just make the most of the time we do have with IN family. My family has been able to make the trip a couple times and that's really special. Derek's parents have been great at helping with the kids when things come up or Derek and I have events that require us both.
All the girls had RSV in late January and we even had to have Annabelle hospitalized since she's so young. She and I spent 4 days in the hospital. Derek's mom spent the whole time at our house with Derek. I knew things were in good hands. So far that's the only big illness we've had since the stomach flue escapade in September.
I'll post some pictures of the girls from the last couple months. Madelyn is loving pre-k and really excited about Kindergarten. Adriauna is getting really good at staying in the lines with her coloring. Brooklynn is really talking a lot and her vocabulary has expanded quite a bit, and you can understand most of what she's saying. Annabelle is growing! As of a couple weeks ago, she was almost 13 pounds! She is starting to play with her hands and kicking her feet around.
The past week and a half we have gone to 5 basketball games, with the end of the regular season we wanted to make sure we supported the kids from church. The one girls team won District (Sectionals, for you IN people) and the boys team plays tonight for District Champs. The girls had so much fun going to those! Madelyn loved pointing out the kids we knew and cheering for them. Even when they weren't playing at the time. HAHA! They were great and we got so many compliments about how well they behaved and how we "have a beautiful family". Always nice to hear!
Things have been going really well at church. We're growing! New people are visiting and staying. God is reaching people through Derek and the wonderful members of our church. Can't wait to see what the next few months have in store!
Enjoy the pictures!!
